We have appointed a new general manager: Darren MacKintosh started with us in December and will be a great addition to our management team. With 50 staff on 4 sites, the practice takes a lot of work to run day-to-day!

Is your rabbit a sunny bunny? Don't ignore the threat from Myxomatosis this summer. Myxy, as it's known, is widespread in the wild rabbit population and easily spreads to pet rabbits. Infection is nearly always fatal.
Remember to vaccinate your dog against Kennel Cough this summer! Kennel Cough is the most common infectious disease of dogs and can be picked up anywhere where dogs meet, such as the park or even on the beach! Do call now for an appointment at one of our clinics.

This week, the BBC is showing an episode of Panorama about the veterinary profession. You can be rest assured that the programme depicts practices which are based out-with our area. Our receptionists and admin team took part in the Race for Life on the 9th May at Bught Park, Inverness and they raised about £200 for cancer charities. Fortunately the weather was excellent and all involved had a great time!

Our practice manager, Sonia Howell, was a runner-up in the prestigious veterinary practice manager of the year awards in April. The awards recognise excellence in the veterinary profession and the categories include, vet of the year, VN of the year and practice of the year. Already this year we have have seen several dogs with Kennel cough, which are as likely to arise from ordinary day-to-day contact between dogs, and not from kennels as the name implies. Please do arrange your vaccination now – the normal dog booster doesn’t provide full protection against kennel cough. What does Kennel Cough sound like?
