Schools And Work Experience

We are always happy to have school pupils coming to take part in work experience programmes. We recommend that you read our page on careers in the veterinary industry before contacting us to arrange a placement.

We do receive a large number of requests for work-experience every year and unfortunately we cannot accommodate everyone. Generally speaking we will give priority to pupils whose family are registered with our practice, for the care of their pets or horses.

You should come prepared with a note pad and a packed lunch. All pupils should be smartly dressed, treat our clients with the utmost respect and help the vets and the nursing team with keeping our facilities as clean and tidy as possible.

If you are a teacher, we are happy to provide guidance to pupils who are considering a career in the veterinary industry and we have, in the past, done presentations at schools about our profession. Please feel free to contact us, with any enquiries.
