Heather MacKenzie

Heather is a dedicated and passionate veterinary nurse in training. She previously earned her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification along with an Animal Care certificate from SRUC and is currently working towards her Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification with UHI.

She joined Crown in January after moving from her placement in Edinburgh to be closer to home on the Isle of Skye. Throughout her training, she has developed a keen interest in laboratory work and patient care and is eager to continue expanding her knowledge and skills in the field.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time outdoors with her working collie, Gael, especially if there’s a scenic view and a good coffee along the way. She has a passion for all things western and country music and a particular love for sheep, with lambing season being her favourite time of year.
